May 24, 2019 Kihei’s weather is ideal almost year round. Temperatures average between 75 and 85 degrees, and while other areas of Maui tend to have a rainy season from November to March, Kihei averages less than 12 inches per year. Next the beaches are great for water sports. Every thing from rain to sub-zero temperatures and they're still thumping away. I just got an extra set to replace a set of smaller speakers that didn't fare as well. They do not come close to the sound quality of a good home speaker but hey, they have rubberized speaker cones! Besides, a house speaker wouldn't survive one good rain.

NORTH ADAMS — The second act of the 2019-20 season didn't began on the best foot for the McCann girls. The Hornets were held to just four points in Monday's 53-38 loss to Mahar.
However, McCann's struggles started in the first.
'We were very lazy on the fast break,' Hornet coach Kathy Budaj said. 'We weren't getting back in the transition game and gave up 18 points in the first quarter.'
Micalyn Mailloux set the tone early for the Senators (7-5) with nine points in the opening stanza and finished with a game-high 22 points.
The game started to slow down in the second quarter as the Hornets (5-6) clawed back into the game by making Mahar convert shots at the charity stripe.
Izzy LaCasse, Berkshire County's leading scorer (17.25 points per game), and Kaylee Tatro converted two buckets each in the second quarter as the Hornets outscored the Senators by one, but went into the locker room trailing by 10.
'We need to push through [the tough stretches] and work as a team,' LaCasse said. 'When we are up by six points or so we start to gain a lot of momentum, but when we are down we can't [get that momentum].'
The second half began with McCann's only two made 3-point shots in the game. First, it was Tatro to hit from distance.
LaCasse buried one from downtown next time down the court and suddenly the deficit was down to four.
McCann was in striking distance for most of the of the third quarter, but that four-point deficit remained when the frame came to a close.
That was as close as the Hornets came as Senators ended the game on a 15-4 run by commanding the glass.
Saylor Kegans, who had 11 points, brought down 15 rebounds to secure the double double. Meanwhile, Mailloux added seven boards of her own and Abigail Henne added six more.
'We got killed on the offensive boards and they had too many put backs,' Budaj said. 'The girls didn't have the heart they needed and not having Grace Towler (10.5 ppg) definitely hurt us. She does a lot of things with her energy to give us a spark. We missed that tonight.'
LaCasse finished with a 13 point and 13 rebound double-double. Tatro was right behind her with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
McCann hits the road tomorrow for a game at Ware.
'The two games coming into today we worked together and it payed off,' LaCasse said. 'We need to come out strong tomorrow.'
